Cinema Studies & Digital Communication in Media

Academic Background & Creative Development
I am currently in my 4th and final year at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, majoring in Cinema Studies and minoring in Digital Communication and Media.
Over the past four years, I’ve taken a range of courses that have helped shape both my creative and technical skills, including scriptwriting, basic acting, video editing, and strategic presentation.

Screen Writing
In screenwriting courses, I learned how to build structured stories, develop characters, and write dialogue that feels natural and intentional. This helped me understand how to take ideas and turn them into clear narratives. I apply this in my own work by planning out video projects, short films, and creative concepts before I start shooting, making sure there’s always a purpose behind what I create.

Video Editing
In video editing, I developed technical skills in cutting footage, pacing, color grading, sound design, and building a full visual story in post-production. This is one of the biggest parts of my creative work today. I use these skills in almost every project I do, whether it’s short films, event recaps, or music videos, making sure everything flows smoothly and looks polished.
Strategic Presentation
Strategic presentation taught me how to communicate ideas clearly and effectively, whether visually or verbally. I learned how to structure content in a way that keeps attention and delivers a message. I apply this in my creative work by thinking about how an audience will experience my videos, photos, or projects from start to finish.

Professional Background
I’ve worked in retail environments including Champs Sports, Foot Locker, and Nike, where I built strong skills in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and customer engagement. Working in fast-paced stores taught me how to stay organized under pressure, adapt quickly, and connect with different types of people while still staying consistent and reliable in a team setting.
Outside of retail, I’ve been building my own path as a creative. I’ve worked independently on video, photo, and media projects, gaining clients and growing my network through hands-on experience. I’ve collaborated with brands like Puma, Keem Studios, and Shumie, helping bring creative concepts to life through visual content.
I’ve also worked with musical artists such as Leon Thomas, Sunshine Benzi, Pino, Lance Londyn, Zion B, and Bolaji, capturing and supporting their work through photography and video. These experiences have helped me understand how to adapt my creative approach depending on the artist, brand, or project while still keeping a consistent visual style.
Through all of this, I’ve been connecting with creatives across New York and New Jersey and slowly expanding my reach beyond just local work. I’ve learned how important relationships, consistency, and communication are in this industry, especially when working on collaborative projects.
Overall, my professional experience has helped me grow both creatively and personally. I’ve developed a strong work ethic from retail, and combined that with real-world creative experience to build a growing presence in video, photography, and visual storytelling.
